What disc golf driver should i get?

I have had a beast and an orc and i got about 250 to 280 feet out of them but i am thinking about moving to one with a 13 speed like a Katana, Boss or Groove would that be a good idea or should i get something more like a wraith or destroyer. I throw right hand backhand.

When you play the game of cornhole there are many different terminologies that you might hear but not understand. It is important to understand the different terms that people may use so you can be hip on the game when you show up to the party. Here are a few terms that peoples use when tossing the cornhole bags.

You may have heard the terms air mail or swish in basketball when the ball is thrown and it doesn't touch the rim of the basketball hoop. When you throw the cornhole bags and they do not touch the board in any way this toss is also called the air mail and the swish. This is a great toss and one to stand proud of. When you score a swish or an air mail then you will get three points.

The ace or the cow pie are bags that only get you one point for the toss. When you throw the bag and it isn't anywhere near the hole on the board it is called the ace or the cow pie. This will only get you one point. You won't get a point if the bag is touching the ground in any way.

A slider is worth three points also. This type of cornhole toss is when you throw the bag and it slides across the board into the hole. This is usually considered a lucky shot but some people play this way. It is common for some throwers to toss the bag and intentionally slide the bag across the board into the hole.

The blocker is another term you may hear when you play the game of cornhole. This is an ace that lands directly in front of the holes on the cornhole boards. When someone throws a blocker it is only worth one point to you. However, the bag will not be moved from the board and it blocks everyone else's bags when it is their turn. The bag will not be removed and almost make it impossible to make a bag in the hole when you throw the bag with a blocker.

When you throw the cornhole bags at the cornhole boards there are many different terminologies you may hear when you play. These are important to know so you are not left out or you don't understand what the people are talking about. These terms include air mail or swish, ace, slider, and blocker.

The Cliff Stephens Disc Golf Course in Clearwater, FL is located about 20 minutes away from the Tampa, FL airport, making it an ideal destination for fellow disc golf travelers headed to the Sunshine State. This beautifully maintained disc golf course features well-marked concrete tee boxes, a number of water hazards, and some quirky surprises along the way. While this may not be the most challenging course in the country, it is certainly one of the best experiences I have had in my travels so far...just watch out for the lightning!

At first glance you will realize that this is an extremely tight course. Holes are placed very close to one another. As a result there is not a whole lot of walking during your round. Depending on your perspective this could be a positive or a negative (if you spend as much time online as I do maybe its the latter). Each hole has two concrete tee boxes with excellent signage pointing out the general hole location. Most holes as Cliff Stephens Disc Golf Course are straight shots that should be an easy 3 for experiences players. Distances are mostly short...in the 300′ - 350′ range (except for the long 18th). A good stable driver (such as my newly purchased Discraft XL) could be your best friend here.

Naturally, the Cliff Stephens Disc Golf Course is not a breeze to play. Just about every hole features either a thick grouping of trees or a water hazard. A bad drive could leave you making the decision to lay up onto the fairway, or try to cut through several hazards. Hole number 5 is a good example of how important the placement of your drive can be. You could easily waste two strokes trying to cut through trees if you don't land in a favorable spot. As far as challenging water hazards go, look no further than hole #16 which features an island green. It can easily be reached with a medium distance drive. However, it will definitely test your mettle (I would not want to lose a brand new disc).

On a related note my Mom, Girlfriend, and I struck up a conversation with a young man who was snorkeling for lost discs in the various ponds. He did not seem to mind the posted "DANGER: ALLIGATOR" signs. I can only hope he was getting hazard pay on his eBay postings.

As previously mentioned, the course ends on a high note, allowing you to let loose a cannon of a drive on #18. The fairway is WIDE OPEN and forgiving. You will definitely have fun letting loose and pulling out your longest, least accurate driver. It might even take you a couple long drives to get within putting range.

Throughout your experience at Cliff Stephens Disc Golf Course the one feature you will probably notice most is the diversity that is found from hole to hole. No two holes are exactly the same. Each features a memorable hole location, hazard, or quirk. Hole #9 for example has you drive over a wooded retaining wall that is about waist high. My girlfriend Sherri had the shot of the day on this hole, bouncing her Discraft Avenger SS driver right off the top of the wall and inches away from the basket.

To sum things up...if you are ever in the Tampa/Clearwater area you should to check out the Cliff Stephens Disc Golf Course. Check that...you NEED to visit the Tampa/Clearwater area to come play this course. It is absolutely beautifully maintained, expertly designed, and a whole lot of fun.

What is better? Innova Disc golf discs or Discraft?

This is really just a matter of opinion, all the companies have very good discs. I prefer Discraft but that's probably only because that was what i started playing with and got use to playing with. However, i definitely keep a few innova (especially the champion and new star) in my bag as well as my always trustworthy gateway wizard.

The Moral: Discraft Rules, but give the other guys a chance every once in a while.

How to dye Innova Disc Golf Discs? and How to do it so you don't get bleeds?

I want to make my disc golf discs more custom. I have see a lot of cool dye jobs, and really dont have a clue how they did it. I was thinking about making my design and then sprying it with vinyl dye rather then using RIT and dipping it. I have also read everything I could find and tried a lot of the ways that others have tried. Thoes methods dont seem to work as well as what I have see done by the pro's. Also what is the best way to mask the disc so I do not get any bleeds?

The Discraft Buzzz was the first golf disc I ever owned. Purchased based on a friend's recommendation, the Buzzz has become my most dependable golf disc. I use it on short holes as a driver, for mid-range shots, and as a back-up putter in extreme circumstances. My bag is never complete without at least one Discraft Buzzz.

What makes this disc so great is the uncanny consistency it brings to the table. The Pro-D plastic version is about the straightest flying disc on the market. As it gets beat in the Pro-D Buzzz will take on understable flight characteristics, making it an ideal disc for anhyzer shots. I generally carry three Buzzz's in my bag, all at different levels of use. The newest one is the most stable, while the most "beat-in" disc is extremely understable. With multiple Pro-D Buzzz's I can execute almost any shot I require.

The Elite-X, Elite-Z, and ESP Buzzz models are just as consistent, with a slightly more stable flight pattern. These discs will hold a straight line for hundreds of feet before fading slightly to the left (for right-handers). After throwing literally dozens of mid-range disc molds, I have never encountered one as consistently straight and consistent as the Discraft Buzzz. These premium plastic molds will hold their outstanding flight characteristics for hundreds of rounds of disc golf.

The Buzzz could certainly be used for short drives (less than 300ft. for me), but it really shines for mid-range shots around 200ft. When I'm not quite sure which disc to grab out of my bag, I reach for my Buzzz. No other disc delivers such a consistent performance round after round.

Playing the game of darts can be a good recreational activity, as well as a good sport provided an individual knows the technique of throwing darts.

To learn the technique of throwing darts, one should understand that the dart travels through a curve, and the speed with which the dart is thrown should continue the movement until it reaches and strikes the dartboard.

The throwing of darts is completed through five stages -- aiming, backward move, and acceleration, release and a follow through. While taking e aim, the dart, the eye and the target have to be in a same line. Backward movement of the dart has to done slowly and by controlling the aim, which normally comes with practice. Acceleration, although not essential, has to be done very smoothly, allowing it to go along with the follow through. If the throwing technique is right, the proper release comes naturally. Follow through is keeping the same position for a while, even after release, that is to aim at the target.

While throwing a dart one should not move the whole body, but the movement should be restricted to the arm alone. The elbow should be in a fixed position while moving backward and should be alleviated during acceleration. Using the wrist to throw a dart does not really help, but many people believe that by using their wrist, they can gain the required speed. To get best results while throwing darts and to avoid the dart from wobbling, one should use standard form flights and middle length shafts. Moreover to get the best throw, the darts should not point too much upward or downward.

What is a good disc golf disc to throw a tomahawk or hammer throw with?

I throw a lot of tomahowks & find that a Innova firebird & a Discraft Z avenger work good for me. The best thing to do is to take all your disk out & throw them all tommys & see what works best for you.

Living in a retirement community, the Currie Ezip 1000 solved one our biggest problems. We live quite close to many of the community's destinations, but not so close that we could walk to reach them. Many of our neighbors have golf carts, but the many features of the Ezip 1000 made it a better choice for us.

A golf cart just wasn't practical for us, because we have no place to put it. Also, we don't play golf. We didn't know that an electric scooter could be a solution, until one of our neighbors rode by us on one.

Can you buy disc golf discs directly from the discraft factory or do you have to order them online, which i know you can, but if i'm able to, i'd rather buy at the factory. Any ideas?

Ways to find a disk in a river?

My friend threw two of my disc golf discs in a river today. The river is about three feet deep, and I really want to get them back. I have waders and need to find them. What can i do/use to help me find them?

"Disc Error" Displays On My PS2

My PS2 is not working. My PS2 repeatedly displays the "Disc Error" screen. My PS2 is broken. I continue to reset my console but despite my efforts it still won't work. My games won't play at all. I cannot afford to buy a new Playstation 2 or even purchase a used Playstation 2 system.

PS2 Games Won't Play!

My PS2 has been abused and mistreated. This valuable form of entertainment has been inadvertently dropped, bumped and dragged. Many of our favorite games would not play or load when inserted in the PS2 much to our frustration. The problem started out the with the older games, but now even the newer games would not play. The popular error message "Disc Read Error" was the dreaded outcome every time we attempted to play a game. None of the games would play in my console.

Where's My Easy Button to Fix My PS2?

I was disappointed. I researched and compared prices. My research only confirmed I was in no financial position to purchase a brand new PS2 system.
